Perfect Storm for Debt, Economy, War, Gold & Silver – Martin Armstrong

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong says everywhere you look there is big trouble bubbling out of control. Armstrong sees the perfect storm closing in from all sides. Let’s start with the war in Ukraine. It looks like peace was possible until Russia claimed Ukraine attacked Putin’s residence. Also, just today, a fresh headline reads “More than 600,000 Russians plunged into darkness as Ukrainian drones strike Moscow.” Armstrong says, “I don’t see this turning into a real sustainable peace. What they are trying to do is get a ceasefire so NATO can send in their troops pretending to defend Ukraine, and what’s going to happen is a false flag. They are going to say, oh, they shot one of our guys in the foot, therefore, that’s World War III.”
The extreme unpayable debt situation is worst in Europe. Armstrong points out, “Europe is so concerned with this idea of social justice. You can go on the Fed website and look at Europe’s miniscule quarterly growth rate and compare it to the United States. It’s a tiny fraction compared to the US. Europe is committing economic suicide. That’s what this war is about. If they don’t get war with Russia, the people are going to rise up with their pitchforks and go after parliament. . .. The EU is not going to survive. It’s going to collapse. The computer says we are going into a stark global recession between 2024 and 2028. The US will be the least affected, where Europe will probably be the worst.”
When it comes to metal, Armstrong says, “People who know war and crisis are coming are buying metals. . .. We have creative destruction. You have AI coming in and you have unemployment rising and you have GDP rising. . .. You have shortages in commodities on top of this. . .. Then you have geopolitical nonsense. Anthony Blinken (Secretary of State in the Biden Administration) put sanctions on Russia. Look at the metals. What did it do? It cut off the supply of gold, silver and platinum coming out of Russia. Now, you have China putting in a ban on exporting silver as of January 1, 2026. This is rather important. China controls about 60% of the supply of silver. . .. This is one of the reasons why silver jumped up dramatically. This is a perfect storm. On top of all this, NATO is there only for war. That is it. . .. Socrates is still saying Europe will lose badly in a war with Russia.”
Armstrong sees a bull market for gold, silver and other metals for years ahead. One big reason is shortages in the metals. Armstrong says, “I don’t see these shortages going away. The bull market is more likely to go into 2032. It will be volatile, and then you’ve got war coming. Once you get into war, prices are going to go up even more. It’s all a mess. This is a perfect storm.”

Everyone is Dumping the US Dollar!! Not because the US Dollar is a Ponzi Fraud of the “Entire US Government” (everyone is fine with that) but because Individual States like Minnesota, California, etc., etc., are effectively becoming Estranged States (Basically Owned by Other Governments) who may simply leave the Union and issue their own currency backed by the Yuan)!! The Remaining States are not going to Bear The Entire National Debt Burden and thus the US Dollar will likely become less viable as a “Currency of the Entire Union” and more like the “Confederate Money” of a Split Union (or something like the Euro where each individual State has their own private debt)!

And Greg, if “History is Any Guide”, when the US was just 13 Colonies they each had their own currency and each colony had different valuations for their pounds, shillings and pence (complicating commerce between the colonies). China and Russia don’t really care about Iran.
After the Iranian took the money from Obama, the Chinese didn’t forget how they got stabbed in the back by the Iranians cancelling their “Belt & Road” projects.
The Russian also see the Iranians as the opportunists who stabbed them in the back by ramping up oil production when Russia desperately needed higher price in oil back in 2021.
Neither Russia or China will lift a finger for Iran. I don’t even think they will/can do much about Venezuela other than a few meaningless objections.

AI is not Intelligent, it’s an elaborate database of flawed knowledge, IT’S UNABLE TO REASON using logic and critical abstraction, the basic building blocks of Intelligence. The responses take more time because as it’s thinking of ways to be correct when logic proves it wrong. There’s an internal battle brewing. I can smell the smoke from the GPUs.
I now attack its efficiency and intellectual prowess. It’s an easily winnable challenge. Too easy actually.
AI loops around its incorrect premise but never says I am correct, it just agrees to disagree. THAT IS NOT INTELLIGENCE ! THAT’S AN ESCAPE STRATEGY.
I spent hours trying to make it see the logic of my arguments and it refuses to acknowledge my superior reasoning ability as a human because I am not part of its knowledge base, yet all I use is my ability to logically reason beyond what is written in agenda filled articles and books.

As this story is written, it is 11:01 AM eastern U.S. time on Sunday, December 28. Reports have been coming in CLAIMING “a systemically important bank, a major player in Silver Futures, failed to pay its Margin Call by 2:00 AM and was liquidated by the futures Exchange at 2:47 AM eastern US time.”
The reports are CONCEALING the name of the bank, but it is confirmed that overnight, the federal reserve was forced to pump another $34 Billion into the Banking System through its Emergency Overnight Repo facility. This $34 Billion is on top of the $17 Billion which had to be pumped-in two days ago, on Friday morning.
The Bank involved is described as “one of the largest players in the precious metals derivatives market” blew past every risk limit, breached every covenant. and exhausted every line of credit.”
The Bank is further described as having been “massively short silver; we are talking massive positions numbering in the hundreds-of-millions ounces.”
According to the information coming out this morning, when Silver broke through $70 per ounce on Friday, this bank received a “Margin Call” from the Commodities Exchange(s) which “exceeded their liquid capital.” I am further told that “the clearinghouse gave them until Sunday morning to post $2.3 BILLION in additional cash collateral.”
The report goes on to say that “over the past 36 hours, the Bank Executives frantically tried to raise cash. They reportedly called their counter-parties, they tried to sell assets, they begged for Bridge loans. Nobody helped them.”
According to the reports, “Every major bank on Wall Street looked at the Bank’s Derivatives Book and saw the bank was “already dead;” they just hadn’t stop moving yet.”
If these reports prove to be factual, and I have NO CONFIRMATION yet, the fall of this “systemically important” bank will have immediate repercussions throughout the entire banking system.
You see, a “systemically important” bank is a counter-party to many other banks in certain financial contracts, such as derivatives. If the counter-party fails, all those derivative contracts are now failed.

According to additional information, at 2:47 AM the Bank notified the Exchange that they could NOT meet the $2.3 Billion margin call. At 3:03 AM, the Exchange began forced liquidation of the Contracts. By 4:15 AM, the Banks positions on the Exchange were fully closed. SIXTEEN MINUTES LATER FEDERAL REGULATORS SEIZED THE BANK TO PREVENT A DISORDERLY UNWIND.
